Stagecraft

1- Black Panther article response

Students will read and annotate the Black Panther article in class. We will write the response in class. Response due Friday, Jan 21 by 11:59 PM

Article 1: “Black Panther Costume Designer Ruth E. Carter on Three Decades of Dressing Superheroes” by Cady Lang

Response question: Citing the article as evidence, discuss how a designer can use their culture and background to influence new designs.

2- Costume Research

Students will review design research: 3 pics with explanations for each costume element. Each crew must create a research doc for 2 characters from Fiddler on the Roof.

3- Measurement Report

Every member of the crew must be measured for a costume. Record each crew member on the correct Measurement Report sheet (Male/Female)

Due Thursday at the end of the period. Crew Lead will turn in for the crew
